The history of Domaine de la Chapelle began in 1983, a few kilometers east of Chinon, in a picturesque setting of vineyards sheltered by the Vienne River to the south and by the hillside to the north.

In truth, it all began long before that.

First, wind and water tirelessly sculpted the rock to shape the landscape. Then man planted the vine. It's all there, and yet it all has to be redone, vintage after vintage. Patience and humility. A team's quest for excellence.
